Great Falls Foundation for the Arts (GFFFTA) was founded as a non-profit organization in 2007. It was established by a group of Great Falls citizens who shared a vision of establishing a central place where artists could work, teach, and display their work for the benefit of the community.
The first step in making this vision real was to bring working artists into a central location within the community. The Artists’ Atelier, a shared studio space for eleven artists currently located in the Great Falls Village Center, not only solved the difficulty artists face in finding affordable studio space, it made it possible for the public to see artists at work.
The success of the Atelier was immediate and demand for more space is being met by moving to a larger studio space that will add enough room for 4 more artists. The move is scheduled for May 2008 to a loft in the Colvin Run business section of Great Falls.
